Flodden Peace Centre

Flodden Peace Centre
The Flodden Peace Centre at Crookham invites visitors to reflect upon moments of conflict, such as the terrible slaughter at the Battle of Flodden 500 years ago, and to search how, in today’s world, mediation, justice, reconciliation and peace can be encouraged into practical applications. The Peace Centre has a Peace Garden in its grounds, free to access 24 hours a day. From time to time the Centre also organises  peace-themed events.

The Flodden Peace Garden at Crookham Church has now closed, following the sale of the church to a private party.
Please note, therefore, that this site should not now be visited.

Plans are under way for a new Peace Garden to be created at Flodden itself, close to the Monument and within a few hundred metres of Branxton Church.  It is hoped that the design and work will be completed by the spring of 2023.  Updates on the project will be posted here.

Thank you to the many people who have visited the Peace Garden over the years.  Your respect and understanding for the closure of the church, and for the privacy of the new owners, are appreciated.  For any enquiry please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
